Abstract:

Provided is a transmission device comprising at least: an RF signal generator (201) that generates and outputs RF signals for a plurality of carrier frequency bands; a power amplifier (202) that amplifies and outputs the RF signals from the RF signal generator (201); an amplitude signal generator (203A) that generates and outputs an amplitude signal for a maximum power carrier frequency band RF signal corresponding to the RF signal for the carrier frequency band having the greatest power among the RF signals output from the power amplifier (202); and a power supply modulator (205) that amplifies and outputs the amplitude signal for the maximum power carrier frequency band RF signal output from the amplitude signal generator (203A). The power supply voltage of a power supply terminal in the power amplifier (202) is modulated by the output signals from the power supply modulator (205) and the RF signals for the plurality of carrier frequency bands that are output from the power amplifier (202) and having the power supply voltage thereof modulated are sent as transmission signals.
