Abstract:
The present technology pertains to a transmission device, a reception device, a transport system, and a transport method for enabling an increase in transport efficiency of sub-data added to main data. The transmission device is provided with: a frame sequence number setting unit which, on the basis of a frame number indicating the sequence of sub-frames in a main frame, assigns to the sub-frame a frame sequence number indicating the sequence of the sub-frames in a frame sequence including a plurality of the sub-frames; and a multiplexing unit which, on the basis of the frame sequence number, arranges a data packet in a prescribed position in the sub-frame. The present technology can be applied to a CCU, for example.
