Abstract:
A base station (1) as a transmission device is provided with: a plurality of antenna units (18-1, 18-2) each capable of forming a plurality of beams; a candidate beam grouping unit (11) by which the beams that the plurality of antenna units are capable of forming are grouped on the basis of the antenna units forming the beams; and a transmission signal generation unit (15) which generates a transmission signal including identification information pertaining to the beams formed by the plurality of antenna units and group information indicating the groups to which the beams belong, and which outputs the generated transmission signal to the antenna units forming the beams corresponding to the identification information pertaining to the beams included in the transmission signal.
