Abstract:
[Problem] To improve offset value precision by compensating the time synchronization error resulting from link asymmetry. [Solution] PTP packets are transmitted and received between a master node 3 and a slave node 4 via a first transmission device 1 connected to the master node 3 side and a second transmission device 2 that is a counterpart to the first transmission device 1 and is connected to the slave node 4 side. The second transmission device 2 is characterized by comprising: a transmission unit 16 that simultaneously transmits PTP packets of a plurality of wavelengths to the counterpart transmission device; and a reception unit 17 that determines the propagation delay Dms from the counterpart transmission device to the host device on the basis of the differences in the arrival times of the PTP packets of the plurality of wavelengths received from the counterpart transmission device, and notifies the slave node 4 of the propagation delay Dms as a compensation parameter for the processing for synchronizing the time of the slave node 4.
