Abstract:
A transmission device establishes fast and effectively an auxiliary path in order to avoid a fault, improving transmission quality and reliability. An auxiliary path request message control section (11a) creates and transmits/receives an auxiliary path request message containing fault location information and auxiliary path setting information. A label allocation message control section (11b) creates and transmits/receives a label allocation message. A label setting information creating section (11c) creates label setting information. An auxiliary path label table managing section (12) builds and manages an auxiliary path label table (T). A fault detecting section (13a) locates a fault. A fault notification massage transmitting section (13b) transmits a fault notification message containing information on the location of a fault. An auxiliary path establishing section (14) compares the fault location information in a fault notification message with the fault location information in the auxiliary path label table (T). If a correspondence is found, the auxiliary path establishing section (14) selects the label setting information related to the corresponding fault location information, and establishes an auxiliary path.
