Abstract:
Disclosed are a transmission mechanism which can transmit power to nonparallel axes, being lightweight, with no backlash, and highly durable, and a robot provided with a differential mechanism for perpendicular axes, said differential mechanism being lightweight, with no backlash, and highly durable.
The transmission mechanism is provided with conical pulleys and a sector belt. The conical pulleys are arranged so that the tips of hypothetical conical surfaces overlap, and the hypothetical conical surfaces are in contact with one another. A differential mechanism for perpendicular axes is configured using the transmission mechanism, and a robot is comprised of the differential mechanism.
