Abstract:

The present invention has an interlock means (60) that can interlock the expansion of the inscribed circle radius of one composite sprocket (5) to the reduction in the inscribed circle radius of another composite sprocket (5). When changing a gear ratio towards a constant speed gear ratio at which the rotational speed of two rotary shafts (1, 1) become the same, the interlock means (60) reduces the amount of radius reduction more than the amount of radius expansion when an actual chain length, which is the actual length of a chain, with respect to the geometric chain length, which is the length of the ideal chain wound without excess or deficiency around two sets of composite sprockets (5, 5) when the amount of diameter expansion and diameter reduction are the same, is greater by a pre-set, predetermined length, and when same is not greater than the predetermined length, causes the amount of radius reduction to be the same as the amount of radius expansion.
