Abstract:
Provided is a transmission, in which a power roller transmits rotational drive force from an input disk to an output disk at a gear ratio corresponding to a tilt angle. The power roller changes the gear ratio by causing the position of a trunnion that is tiltably supported to be changed by a trunnion drive mechanism. Pressure oil from a hydraulic pump is supplied to the trunnion drive mechanism via a directional switching valve. The directional switching valve is configured so as to supply the pressure oil to one of either a deceleration chamber or an acceleration chamber of the trunnion drive mechanism by switching the direction in which the pressure oil flows, and to discharge the pressure oil of the other. Further, when discharge conditions are met, a controller controls the movement of a discharge valve so as to discharge the pressure oil from the acceleration chamber.
