Title:
TRANSMISSION TIMING MEASURING INSTRUMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1995/033315
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a system in which a base station and a mobile station intercommunicate and digital time division modulation is adopted, a transmission timing measuring instrument accurately measures the timing of signal transmission between a base station and a mobile station based on symbol train data in demodulated signals. A signal processing section (20) of the measuring instrument converts a reference channel signal and a channel signal to be measured of different frequencies into digital data, and selectively outputs the data. A data writing section (6) stores these data in preassigned memory areas in a memory section (15) by using an accurate clock. A data read section (7) reads the data in the memory areas using the reference channel signal for the reference as a basis. A transmission timing computing section (10) computes the transmission timing from the time difference between symbol train data read out from the section (15). Thus, the transmission timing measuring device can accurately measure the transmission timing without being affected by the delay caused by the responses of the internal circuit elements when the signal is demodulated.
