Abstract:
Provided are a transmissive-type detection device that can detect very accurately using a simple configuration, a device for detecting floating medium, and a device for forming images. One embodiment of this transmissive-type detection device comprises: a light projection unit (12); an aperture member (24) that is disposed in the light projection unit (12) and that has a plurality of openings (24A, 24B) through which light passes; a light reception unit (14) that receives beams projected on a pass-through area via the plurality of openings; and an arithmetic logic unit that compares the amount of light received by the light reception unit (14) to a plurality of preset threshold values and that outputs a signal corresponding to the comparison result. Each of the plurality of openings (24A, 24B) has a polygonal shape. The plurality of openings (24A, 24B) are disposed in positions overlapping a diffracted light non-generation area, which is an area outside of a diffracted light generation area in which diffracted light of a beam passing through the other opening is generated.
