Abstract:
Disclosed are a transmitter having high signal line efficiency and no simultaneous switching noise, and a data transmission method for same. The transmitter comprises: a mapping unit for mapping input data to one of codes; and transmission drivers for transmitting the input data by means of signal lines in accordance with the mapped code. The mapped code is set to the voltage levels of the signal lines. Each of the signal lines has a voltage level of "+1", "0" or "-1". Bit (D[n:0]) of the input data is in one-to-one correspondence with the voltage level (L[n:0]). The voltage level of the code is set by means of calculation among the bits of the input data. In regard to the mapped code, the number of signal lines having a voltage level of "+1" and the number of signal lines having a voltage level of "-1" are the same.
