Abstract:
Provided is a transmitter capable of correcting distortion of a signal with high accuracy. The transmitter is provided with a test signal generation unit, a frequency characteristics correction unit which corrects amplitude characteristics and phase characteristics of a test signal, a modulation unit, an envelope detection unit, a frequency characteristics computation unit which computes frequency characteristics of an envelope signal, and a coefficient computation unit which computes a correction coefficient for correcting amplitude characteristics and phase characteristics of a test signal on the basis of the frequency characteristics. The test signal generation unit, when comparing signal traces in at least two quadrants among first to fourth quadrants upon the I-Q plane, generates a test signal that is asymmetric.
