Abstract:
This transmitter is attached to each of multiple wheels provided to a vehicle. It is possible to select, by means of an instruction from a triggering device, which among multiple transmitter models this transmitter will function as. The transmitter is equipped with: a pressure sensor for detecting tire pressure; a storage unit for storing an ID code; a transmission unit for transmitting a signal; a control unit for controlling the transmitter; and a triggering reception unit for receiving a triggering signal including the instruction from the triggering device. When the triggering reception unit receives the triggering signal including the instruction designating a transmitter model, the control unit causes the transmitter to function as the designated model and also causes the transmission unit to transmit a signal including the ID code in order to register the ID code with an onboard receiver.
