Abstract:

This transmitting device is provided with: a first mapping unit which generates a first modulation symbol sequence of a first data series by mapping a first bit sequence of the first data series; a second mapping unit which generates a second modulation symbol sequence of a second data series by mapping a second bit sequence of the second data series; a conversion unit which provides, to the second modulation symbol sequence, a conversion according to the first modulation symbol sequence only for a first direction from among the first direction and a second direction which are perpendicular to each other in a complex plane; an overlapping unit which generates a multiplexed signal by overlapping, at a prescribed amplitude ratio, the first modulation symbol sequence with the second modulation symbol sequence provided by the conversion according to the first modulation symbol sequence; and a transmitting unit which transmits the multiplexed signal.
