Abstract:
A transparent antenna-integrated touch sensor device (100) that can be used in touch screens and portable mobile communication devices such as tablets and mobile phones. The touch sensor device (100) includes an electromagnetically conductive element (102), a touch sensor controller (104) configured to operate the electromagnetically conductive element (102) as a touch sensor, and an antenna controller (106) configured to operate the electromagnetically conductive element (102) as an antenna. The electromagnetically conductive element (102) is operated as the touch sensor function or the antenna function at different times, and not simultaneously. The electromagnetically conductive element (102) can be arranged as a transparent conductive mesh (112), the strands of the conductive mesh being of a thickness so as to appear transparent.
