Description:
Transparent edge multi-layer glass embodiment

THE RELATED ART

Invention relates to providing light conductivity in edge joining of multi-layer glasses in general.

The invention particularly relates to providing light conductivity in edge joining of multi-layer glasses used in visual display purpose lids, market and shop cabinets, show window glasses, balcony glass closures and transport vehicles.

BACKGROUND OF THE RELATED ART

Today aluminium laths are used between glass layers to place glasses at certain distances from each other and fix them in multi-layer glass production. After attachment of glass layers by aluminium laths, double-phase rubber glue is put onto joining areas and thus sealing is provided. No light permeability except for glass is possible in said application. For that reason, illumination and visibility loss occurs in the area where multi-layer glass is applied.

In multi-layer glass production in the related art, wide frames are used to provide hiding aluminium laths and rubber glue appearance and thus final multi-layer glass is provided. Said frame is not needed for fixing and/or moving multi-layer glass products for resistance and functionality.

In the related art, the frames used to bring multi-layer glass into final product may cause generation of bacteria that might be dangerous for health in case of contact with food agents.

In conclusion, developments have been made in multi-layer glass and, therefore, new embodiments eliminating the above disadvantages and offering solutions to existing systems are needed.

PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to multi-layer glass embodiment meeting the needs mentioned above, eliminating all disadvantages and providing some additional advantages.

Primary purpose of the invention is to enhance light permeability and eliminate the appearance loss which is essential for display by means of transparent laths and transparent insulation material.

Another purpose of the invention is to eliminate use of frames and thus reduce cost. A further purpose of the invention is to eliminate use of frames and thus provide a more hygiene storing and display area.

Another purpose of the invention is to enhance heat and sound insulation by means of transparent laths and transparent insulation materials used therein.

In order to achieve all of the advantages mentioned above and described in details below, the present invention relates to multi-layer glass embodiment comprising at least two surface glass providing heat and sound insulation with display of product transparently, lath located between said surface glasses in lower and/or upper part and thus preventing contact of surface glasses, at least a humidity barrier by gluing two surface glasses together and preventing entrance of humidity between surface glasses. Invention is characterised in comprising:

• at least a transparent lath located between said surface glasses and forming side edge of multi-layer glass embodiment and providing light permeability,

• transparent insulation material with transparency feature providing gluing said transparent lath and surface glasses.

The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be understood better in the figures given below and the detailed description by reference to the figures. Therefore, the assessment should be made based on the figures and taking into account the detailed descriptions.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF FIGURES

In order to make the embodiment and additional members being subject of the present invention as well as the advantages clearer for better understanding, it should be assessed with reference to the fallowing described figures.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the multi layer glass (A) being subject of the invention have been described in a manner not forming any restrictive effect and only for purpose of better understanding of the matter.

Figure 1 shows cross-sectional view of multi-layer glass embodiment (A) of the invention. Accordingly, it is a multi-layer glass embodiment (A) made from humidity absorbing material (5) preventing dewing by trapping humidity between two surface glasses (4) comprising said multi-layer glass embodiment (A) with heat and sound insulation feature basically comprises at least two surface glasses (4) providing transparent display of product behind it and providing heat and sound insulation, opaque lath (1 ) located between said surface glasses (4) and thus preventing contact of surface glasses (4), primary humidity barrier (2) gluing two surface glasses (4) and preventing penetration of humidity between the surface glasses (4), secondary humidity barrier (3) filling the gaps and reducing humidity penetration, and comprising transparent lath (6) located between said surface glasses (4) in edge sections and preventing light permeability, transparent insulation material (7) of transparency feature providing gluing of transparent lath (6) and surface glass (4).

Said multi-layer glass embodiment (A) embodiment is provided as follows:

Surface glasses (4) are provided as per required number of layer and are cut and prepared in the required sizes. Then opaque lath (1 ) and transparent lath (6) in the edge length as per application of the surface glass (4) are prepared and joining stage is initiated. Then first layer surface glass (4) is taken and required insulation material is applied onto edges where transparent lath (6) will be applied and edges where transparent insulation material (7)and opaque lath (1 ) will be applied, and joining is realized. After a surface glass (4) is combined with an opaque lath (1 ) and transparent lath (6), respectively primary humidity barrier (2), humidity absorbing material (5) and secondary humidity barrier (3) are applied onto the section where opaque lath (1 ) is. Taking into account the opaque lath (1 ) and transparent lath (6) parts, appropriate glues are re-applied and then next surface glass (4) is glued. This process is repeated until the required number of surface glasses (4) is obtained in the multi layer glass embodiment. If required, inner space of the prepared multi-layer glass embodiment (A) is filled with a gas other than air.

Said humidity barrier (2) consists of butyl or glues and said secondary humidity barrier (3) consists of filling materials such as polysulfide, silica, and said humidity absorbing material (5) consists of materials with humidity absorbing feature such as silica gel.
