Abstract:
A transparent electroconductive layer (1) containing a rare gas having a larger atomic number than argon. The transparent electroconductive layer (1), when examined by X-ray diffractometry, gives a peak assigned to the (440) plane, the peak having a half band width of 0.27 degrees or less. A transparent electroconductive film (5) comprises a substrate (6) and the transparent electroconductive layer (1) in this order toward one thickness-direction surface.
