Abstract:
The invention provides a transparent resin composition having chemical resistance, weather resistance, and stability under natural environmental conditions, harsher natural environmental conditions, and similar or harsher usage conditions, characterized in that the following is added to a polycyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate copolyester: an ultraviolet absorber comprising a benzoxazinone-based compound; a hydrolysis inhibitor comprising carbodiimide; or an ultraviolet absorber comprising a benzoxazinone-based compound and a hydrolysis inhibitor comprising carbodiimide. The invention also provides a transparent resin composition having chemical resistance, weather resistance, and stability under even harsher usage conditions. The invention further provides a transparent resin composition having chemical resistance, weather resistance, and stability under natural environmental conditions, harsher natural environmental conditions, and similar or harsher usage conditions, characterized by further including an oxidation inhibitor and a heat-resistant material. These transparent resin compositions can be used for helmets, helmet face shields, spectacle lenses, outside storage boxes, frames for outdoor board spectacles, and spectacle temples.
