Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a transparent sealing member and a method for manufacturing the same. According to the present invention, a first transparent sealing member (10A) is used in a package (20) accommodating at least one optical element (14), and is attached to a mounting substrate (16) having a mounting surface (16a) for the optical element (14). In the first transparent sealing member (10A), at least one corner part among a plurality of corner parts configured by a surface (30) facing the mounting substrate (16) and a surface (32) along the mounting surface (16a) of the mounting substrate (16) has a curved shape, and punctiform minute recessed parts (22) are formed on the surface of the curved shape. The average presence frequency of the minute recessed parts (22) is 100,000 to 3,000,000 inclusive per 1 mm2.
