Abstract:

Provided is a transparent substrate with a multilayer film, which has sufficiently high heat shielding properties even if provided with a functional layer that contains a specific metal nitride such as titanium nitride. A transparent substrate 10 with a multilayer film, which comprises a transparent substrate 12 and a multilayer film 14 that is provided on at least one surface of the transparent substrate 12. The multilayer film 14 sequentially comprises, from the transparent substrate 12 side, a first dielectric layer 22, a crystallinity improvement layer 24, a functional layer 26 and a second dielectric layer 28; the crystallinity improvement layer 24 contains ZrNx (wherein x is more than 1.2 but 2.0 or less); the functional layer 26 contains one or more metal nitrides that are selected from the group consisting of titanium nitride, chromium nitride, niobium nitride, molybdenum nitride and hafnium nitride; and the oxygen atom concentration at the boundary between the crystallinity improvement layer 24 and the functional layer 26 is 20% by atom or less.
