Abstract:

This transport device (3) comprises: a pair comprising a first support frame (31) and a second support frame (30) that are installed to be parallel to each other and that define a transport track for a pallet (4) including a carrying member (40) on which a workpiece is placed; a driving unit (32) that is installed on the first support frame (31) and that applies a conveyance force to the pallet (4); a driven unit (41) that constitutes the pallet (4), that receives the conveyance force from the driving unit (32), and that travels along a first guide (31b) on the first support frame (31); an auxiliary unit (42) that constitutes the pallet (4), that is connected to the driven unit (41) via the carrying member (40), and that can freely travel along a second guide (30b) on the second support frame (30); and a stopping unit (5) that is installed on the first support frame (31), that includes an engaging unit (501) to engage with a portion of the driven unit (41), and that temporarily stops the movement of the pallet (4) at a prescribed stop position along the transport track.
