Abstract:
A transport device (101) comprising: a carriage (111) that travels along a prescribed travel path; a transfer mechanism (112) that is provided to the carriage (111), and that transfers an article in a transfer space (110) set on the travel path; a first movable piece (113) that is a rod-shaped member attached to the carriage (111) in a state of extending in the direction of travel, and that operates by magnetic action to drive the transfer mechanism (112); and a first fixed piece (114) that is a partially cut away annular member fixedly disposed on the travel path, and that operates the first movable piece (113) by magnetic action in a situation in which part of the carriage (111) is positioned outside of the transfer space (110).
