TRANSPORT UNIT FOR RECTANGULAR THIN PLATE PANELS

Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a transport unit for rectangular thin plate panels with which it is possible to reliably prevent damage or breaking of rectangular thin plate panels being transported when the multiple rectangular thin plate panels are stacked and then transported, and with which the rectangular thin plate panels can be stored stably for a long period of time. [Solution] A transport unit for rectangular thin plate panels that is used to stack and transport multiple rectangular thin plate panels, said transport unit characterized in that multiple sets of four resin corner members (11) that support the corners of each rectangular thin plate panel from below are provided, said transport unit having: a transport pallet having an upper surface on which the lowermost sets of the resin corner members (11) are mounted when multiple rectangular thin plate panels are stacked vertically by stacking the resin corner members (11) into columnar shapes in the vertical direction; and pairs of regularly shaped shock-absorbing spacers (100) provided at the opposing edges of the rectangular thin plate panels that are supported from below at each corner by the resin corner members (11). In addition, each shock-absorbing spacer (100) has a main body part (102), and an alignment part (104) that is formed on the outside of the main body part (102) and controls the relative horizontal movement of the shock-absorbing spacers that are adjacent in the vertical direction. In addition, at the lower part of the main body part (102) there is a mounting lower surface (106), which is mounted on the upper surface of the lower of the adjacent rectangular thin plate panels that have been stacked vertically, and at the upper part there is a contacting upper surface (108) that is capable of making contact with the lower surface of the upper rectangular thin plate panel. In addition, the alignment parts (104) of the shock-absorbing spacers (100) that are adjacent in the vertical direction have portions that are capable of engaging each other, and a prescribed clearance is provided between the lower surface of the alignment part (104) of the upper shock-absorbing spacer (100) and the upper surface of the alignment part (104) of the lower shock-absorbing spacer (100).
