Abstract:
A transport unit 15 is provided with: a transport rail 130; a transport body 150 travelling along the transport rail 130 and transporting an article W; a pallet 110 which is supported by the transport body 150 while the article W is placed on the pallet 110 and which is transported between a plurality of stations 11, 13; and a transfer device 100 configured to be capable of transferring, within the stations 11, 13, the pallet 110 to and from the transport body 150. The transfer device 100 is provided with: a support body 102 for supporting the pallet 110; a rail member 103 affixed to the support body 102 and extending in the direction in which the pallet 110 is transferred and received; and a travelling body 104 traveling on the rail member 103. The travelling body 104 has a latch section 103e selectively engaging with the catch section 112 of the pallet 110. The pallet 110 is pushed or pulled while the latch section 103e and the catch section 112 are engaged with each other.
