Provided is a transverse connection apparatus, comprising a connecting rod (23). A clamping head (24) is arranged on the connecting rod (23). Two clamping arms (26, 28) are arranged at the lower end of the clamping head (24). A clamping groove (25) is formed between the two clamping arms (26, 28). One clamping arm (28) of the two clamping arms (26, 28) is provided with a transverse through hole (32). A first sliding block (27) is arranged in the transverse through hole (32). The clamping head (24) is provided with a vertical through hole (31) communicated with the transverse through hole (32). A screw plug (29) is in threaded connection with the interior of the vertical through hole (31). A lower end of the screw plug (29) abuts against a side surface of the first sliding block (27) distal to the clamping groove (25). When the screw plug (29) is screwed into the vertical through hole (31), the screw plug (29) pushes the first sliding block (27) to slide along the transverse through hole (32) to the interior of the clamping groove (25). Also provided is a resetting and fixing system using the described transverse connection apparatus. The system further comprises a vertebra support nail, an upper pedicle screw (39), and a lower pedicle screw (41). The system can effectively reset a fractured vertebra, and provide sufficient support on the front, while ensuring the stability of the spine.
