Abstract:
A travel controller (10) is provided with an intersection-stopped-vehicle-determining unit (12) and a vehicle-stop-position-prediction unit (13). The intersection-stopped-vehicle-determining unit determines, on the basis of: distance information acquired by a forward-vehicle detector (1), the distance information indicating the distance from the host vehicle to individual forward vehicles; and distance information acquired by a forward-intersection-distance-acquisition device (2), the distance information indicating the distance to an intersection ahead of the host vehicle, whether the forward vehicles are stopped vehicles that are stopped in an intersection. If it has been determined that a forward vehicle is a stopped vehicle, the vehicle-stop-position-prediction unit predicts the position at which the host vehicle will stop in the intersection on the basis of the distance information for the stopped vehicle.
