Abstract:
This travel device, which eliminates the influence of cuttings, comprises: a rack which is fixed to a support member with the tooth surfaces facing downwards; a guide rail which is fixed in parallel to the rack; a travel platform which is provided with a sliding member that slides engaged with the guide rail; a travel motor which is attached to the travel platform and which rotates a pinion gear that meshes with the rack; and a protective cover which is fixed to a lateral surface of the rack and which has a length extending downwards from the tooth surface of the rack.
