The said compartment is to be laminated out of leather. As an alternate choice fabric or vinyl can be used for the material composition of the compartment. This can then be bonded to the side of the belt facing the back of the wearer. The width of the compartment is to be the width of the belt and the-sug- gested length of the compartment to be 50 cm. The suggested length of the slide fastener to be at 40 cm.
The combination is designed to inconspicuously conceal money, travellers cheques and IDs., hence rendering valuables out of sight and out of reach of would be robbers. The device features what could be-referred to as a slimline wallet attached to a belt in a fashion that would not be obvious to anyone of its existence.
In the light of the foregoing it should be obvious to anyone that this device is far superior to the currently marketed "Drop in Pocket Bib", also the"eut of Sight Wallet"with directives to have it attached to a belt or brassiere and tucked inside trousers, skirt or a blouse. The above mentioned devices are offered on the market with the stipulated incentive to Keep Valuables Out of Robbers Reach".
Certainly the avantages of the Travel Safe Money Belt far surpass the known devices on the market where convenience, safety and security are concerned. In the light of the fore- <BR> <BR> <BR> going it is reasonable to conclude that there is a need ans<BR> <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR> a market for the Travel Safe Money Belt!' ! SPECIFICATION 1. mu invention which I refer to as thé ^rave Safe Money Belt relates generally to apparel belts modified to accomodate a compartment for the concealment of money, travellers cheques and credit cards, rendering such valables out of sight and out of reach of pickpockets while at the same time having the appearance of being an ordinary belt when worn.
2. (Eompartment referred to and as illustrated in Figure 1. can be constructed out of leather, fabric (nylon, polyester or cotton) vinyl or suede. Said compartment as shown in the Figure 1. could be fastened by contact cement or stitched to the side of the belt facing the back of the wearer. Suggested lenght of thecomparment to be 46 centimeters. Said compart- ment to have a slot 31 centimeters long where aslide fast- ener (zipper) 31 centimeters long is to be secured by stit- chine in the slot of the compartment.
3. As shown in figure two the ladies belt is similarly des- igned. Lad es belts are usually wider than mens belts and the compartment designed the width of the belt can normally also accomodate credit cards as well as money and travellers cheques. To accomodate credit cards as well as money it is suggested that mens amd ladies belts be 4 centimeters wide.
4. As shown in figure 3. displavin an alternate ladies belt with the compartment located on the sife of the belt facing the fromt of the wearer. Said belt can be adapted to be snapped on by the one wearing it either at the back or front of the wearer.
5. As the foregoing would indicate the object of my inven- tion is tc, provide an apparel belt that has the appearance of an ordinary apparel belt without revealing the existance of a compartment for concealment of money or travellers cheques. In addition said compartment should be noted for having fastening means that would not cause discomfort to the wearer.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS: FIGURES 1 AND 2.
1. Suggested width of apparel belt for travellers cheques & dollar bills 4cm. for credit cards suggested width 6.5 cm.
2. Compartment which could be constructed from fabric (nylon or polyester) or vinyl, suede or laminated leather. Suggested length of compartment 50 cm.
3. Suggested slide fastener length 40 cm. length of 2 & 3 (compartment and slide fastener) can be varied depending on the capacity desired.
