Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a travel track sensing device using a magnetic sensor unit and an acceleration sensor unit, which is capable of sensing a travel track at both low speed and high speed. [Solution] A reference x-axis, a reference y-axis, and a reference z-axis are predetermined. A magnetic sensor unit (2) which senses magnetism in each axis direction and an acceleration sensor unit (12) which senses acceleration in each axis direction are installed. When traveling at low speed, the distance traveled is derived from the number of steps traveled as sensed by the acceleration sensor unit (12), and the travel track is derived from the orientation of geomagnetic vectors sensed by the magnetic sensor unit (2). When traveling at high speed, a change in the angular velocity of the geomagnetic vectors is sensed by the magnetic sensor unit (2), and the travel track is derived from the sensory output thereof.
