Abstract:
[Problem] To avoid obstruction of traveling of a traveling vehicle by exclusive control while suppressing the number of times of communication between a controller and the traveling vehicle. [Solution] This traveling vehicle system is provided with: a plurality of traveling vehicles; and a controller that controls the plurality of traveling vehicles. A plurality of blocking sections to be under exclusive control for, when the blocking sections are occupied by one of the traveling vehicles, prohibiting another traveling vehicle from moving thereinto, are designated for a traveling region of the traveling vehicles. The traveling vehicle makes a request to the controller for occupation permissions regarding a plurality of blocking sections that are to be occupied by said traveling vehicle and are designated by commands, collectively as one set of information through one communication. In accordance with a predetermined criterion that is set in advance, the controller determines, from among the plurality of blocking sections for which the traveling vehicle makes a request for the occupation permissions, one or more blocking sections that are permissible continuously from the side to be occupied earlier on the basis of the traveling direction of the traveling vehicle. The controller gives the traveling vehicle the occupation permissions for the one or more blocking sections that are determined as permissible.
