Abstract:
A tread (1) being provided with at least one principal groove and a plurality of sub grooves (4) delimiting a plurality of contact elements (6); at least one contact element (6) comprising at least one incision (5), the sub groove (4) and the incision (5) adjacent to the sub groove forming a small block (66) of a length Lb; at least one of the frontal face having a projection portion (7) projecting with a length Lp from the frontal face toward an extremity of the projection portion, a radially outermost intersection (78) intersecting with the frontal face being offset from the top face (69) with a distance g; the length Lp of the projection portion is from 25 to 200% of the length Lb of the small block.
