Title:
TREADING DEVICE FOR WHEELS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1988/010200
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
According to the present invention, rotors (3) and a retainer (4) are moved on a road surface in accordance with the rotation of a wheel (7), and, as long as there is a relative movement between the wheel (7) and road surface (5), a belt-like member is turned. While the vehicle travels normally, the wheel rotates on a blade placed stationarily on the road surface; and, even when the slipping of the wheel occurs, the wheel bumps off the blade backward as it slips, so that the belt-like member is thereby further turned. When the wheel and blade slip on the road surface when the wheel is braked, the road surface turns the belt-like member. Accordingly, the blades are moved down sequentially in any case to be arranged on the road surface in good order and rest, and the wheel runs on the blades as it treads thereon. Therefore, the treading of the blade is done reliably. Even when the size of the blades is small, an unreasonably large force is not applied thereto, and this enables the dimensions of a blade retaining means to be reduced.
