Abstract:
A treatment agent for synthetic fibers is provided with which partially oriented yarns can be continuously false-twisted without arousing yarn breakage at joints between the packages. The treatment agent for synthetic fibers essentially comprises a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether ingredient (A) represented by a specific chemical formula and having a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000-4,000, a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether ingredient (B) represented by a specific chemical formula and having a weight-average molecular weight of 3,000-6,000, a polyoxyalkylene polyether ingredient (C) represented by a specific chemical formula and having a weight-average molecular weight of 800-2,000, and a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether ingredient (D) represented by a specific chemical formula and having a weight-average molecular weight of 500-1,000. An aqueous solution containing the treatment agent in a concentration of 10 wt% in terms of the amount of non-volatile matter has a surface tension, as measured at 25°C and a surface life of 10 ms, of 38 mN/m or less.
