Abstract:
Provided is a topical treatment device 2 capable of effectively penetrating a tumor and applying laser light from inside the tumor and also able to apply the laser light evenly to a larger area. The topical treatment device 2 includes: a laser light source 4; a percutaneous irradiation unit 6 comprising a substantially cylindrical optical member constituted by a bundle of multiple optical fibers and having a tip portion 6A formed in a substantially conical shape; an optical transmission member 8 which has one end face 8A connected to the laser light source 4 and the other end face 8B connected to the percutaneous irradiation unit 6; and a vibration applying unit 10 which applies vibrations to the optical transmission member 8.
