Abstract:
This treatment instrument has a transmission member for advancing and withdrawing along the lengthwise axis of an insertion section, and transmitting drive power for rotating the end effector, a first fastening part provided on the base-end side of the transmission member, a second fastening part capable of engaging the first fastening part and provided on the base-end side of the sheath, and an operation body for moving the first fastening part relative to the second fastening part, and capable of switching between: a first position for moving the transmission member to the front side along the lengthwise axis of the insertion section, and maintaining a first state where the end effector extends along the lengthwise axis from the tip end of the insertion section; and a second position for moving the transmission member to the rear side along the lengthwise axis of the insertion section, and maintaining a second state where the end effector rotates relative to the lengthwise axis at the tip end of the insertion section.
