Abstract:
A first comparator (32) compares an output voltage (Vout) to appear in a capacitor (C2) with the maximum threshold voltage (Vmax). A second comparator (34) compares the output voltage (Vout) with the minimum threshold voltage (Vmin). An edge detecting circuit (50) detects the edge of a synchronizing signal (SYNC) having a frequency of about one half of that of the output voltage (Vout), and outputs an edge detection signal (SE). A charge/discharge control unit (40) refers a first comparison signal (Vcmp1) and a second comparison signal (Vcmp2), and sets a charge/discharge circuit (38) in a discharged state, when the output voltage (Vout) becomes higher than the maximum threshold voltage (Vmax), and the charge/discharge circuit (38) in a charged state when the output voltage (Vout) becomes lower than the minimum threshold voltage (Vmin). Moreover, the charge/discharge control unit (40) switches the charged/discharged state of the charge/discharge circuit (38) when the edge detection signal (SE) takes a predetermined level.
