Abstract:
Provided is a novel colorant capable of achieving higher brightness and higher color purity as compared with the prior art. This triarylmethane-based colorant has an anion represented by formula (1). In formula (1), R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 represents a single bond, a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group, or an alicyclic hydrocarbon group, X represents a single bond, -COO-(*), or -CONH-(*), and (*) represents a bonding hand bonded to R2.
