Abstract:
A tricone drill bit having reinforced cone cover protection comprises: cones (1) and cone legs (2). A plurality of rows of hard alloy teeth are set on a cover of each of the cones (1) from a bottom to a top thereof, and comprises in sequence a back cone row of teeth (101), a first row of teeth (102), a second row of teeth (103), and a third row of teeth (104). A first ring-shaped welding groove (3) is deposited on the cone cover between the back cone row of teeth (101) and the first row of teeth (102). A second ring-shaped welding groove (4) is deposited on the cone cover between the second row of teeth (103) and the third row of teeth (104). Tungsten carbide reinforced layers are overlay welded in the first ring-shaped welding groove (3) and second ring-shaped welding groove (4). In the embodiment, the ring-shaped welding grooves are provided on the cone cover, and the tungsten carbide reinforced layers are overlay welded in the ring-shaped welding grooves, the configuration provides the functionality of a conventional tricone drill bit for use in mining, and the welding groove structures comprising a hard metal reinforced layer for protecting the cone cover, effectively extending a service life of a drill cutting structure, and increasing an operation life of a drill bit. The embodiment resolves a problem of early damage of a drill bit caused by a drill cut structure rapidly failing after a cone cover is worn out.
