Abstract:
Provided is a trimaran 1 that sails using a hard sail 51 having a pair of side floats 3, 3 on the left and right sides of a main hull 2 having a tapered bow, wherein cylindrical ducts 4 containing power-generating propellers 62 are provided between the main hull 2 and the side floats 3, so that electricity can be generated by rotating the power-generating propellers 62 with ocean currents generated by the navigation of the sailing ship. The power-generating propellers 62 and power generators 63 are housed in generator unit containers 61, and when power is not being generated, the generator unit containers 61 can move to above-draft generator unit storage rooms 25 in the ship to reduce seawater resistance.
