Abstract:
Disclosed is an inexpensive trimming device having a simple configuration of a corrugate machine wherein the tip of a trim piece can be contained surely in the suction port of a trim chute when the order of a corrugated web is altered. The suction port (51) of a trim chute (50) is fixed integrally to a slitter knife unit (30) on the end side such that the suction port follows up movement of the slitter knife unit (30) on the end side in the web width direction thereof and being located always on the downstream side of the running direction (a) of web, and a cramming member (36) provided at a position facing the suction port (51) across a web running way (PL) of the slitter knife unit (30) on the end side is brought close to a trim piece (T) in the timing when the tip (t) of the trim piece (T) arrives, so that the cross-sectional area of a channel of air flow being sucked into the suction port (51) is decreased and the velocity of air flow is increased thus increasing suction of the trim piece (T).
