Title:
TRIPLE QUADRUPOLE MASS-SPECTROMETER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/019461
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This triple quadrupole mass-spectrometer determines the relationship between a parameter such as the mass-to-charge ratio of a precursor ion or the mass-to-charge ratio of a product ion and the optimal collision gas pressure giving the maximum signal intensity in an MRM measurement to derive an approximation equation, and stores the information from the equation in an optimal collision gas pressure calculation information memory unit (52). During a measurement, an analysis operator enters the mass-to-charge ratio of a precursor ion or a product ion of a compound to be measured. Based on the approximation equation read from the memory unit (52), the optimal collision gas pressure calculation unit (51) determines the optimal collision gas pressure corresponding to the precursor ion or the product ion specified, and sets this as the measurement condition for the device. This allows the optimal collision gas pressure to be set with respect to the compound to be measured without having the analyzer perform a preliminary measurement, thus, improving measurement throughput.
