Abstract:
Disclosed is a triprenyl phenol compound having a thrombolysis-enhancing activity. Also disclosed is a process for production of the triprenyl phenol compound. The triprenyl phenol compound is represented by the general formula (II) or (III): (II) (III) wherein R1 represents an aromatic group having at least one member selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group, a hydroxyl group, a sulfonic acid group and a secondary amino group as a substituent or a part of a substituent, or an aromatic group which has a secondary amino group and may have a nitrogen; R4 in the general formula (III) represents an aroamtic amino acid residue represented by the general formula (III-1) below; X represents –CHY-(CH3)2Z; and Y and Z independently represent –H or =OH or together form a single bond: (III-1) wherein R5 represents a hydroxyl group which may be absent; and n represents an integer of 0 or 1.
