Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a mutant-type tryptophan oxidase suitable for practical use. Specifically, the present invention provides a mutant-type tryptophan oxidase in which at least one amino acid residue of wild-type tryptophan oxidase is mutated and the tryptophan oxidase activity and/or stability is higher than that of wild-type tryptophan oxidase, and a use thereof. This mutant-type tryptophan oxidase is preferably derived from wild-type tryptophan oxidase having at least one of motifs (2), (3), (5), (7), (9), (11), (13), and (14), and preferably has a mutation of at least one amino acid residue in any of these motifs. This mutant-type tryptophan oxidase also preferably has a mutation of one or more amino acid residues in the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 and sequences homologous thereto.
