Abstract:
The present invention reliably prevents displacement and falling out in the tube member axial direction, and improves safety, in a tube end fitting attached to an end of the tube member in which a reinforcing core has been helically embedded into the tube wall interior. This tube end fitting is provided with: a nipple (11) for connecting to another fitting, the nipple being fitted into an end of a tube member (1); an elastic packing (12) externally fitted to the end of the tube member (1); and a holder (13) for pressing the end of the tube member (1) into contact with the nipple (11) by clamping the elastic packing (12) from the outside and forcing an inner peripheral surface of the elastic packing (12) against the outer peripheral surface of the end of the tube member (1). Retaining ribs (22, 22) for wedging into the outer peripheral surface of the end of the tube member (1) are provided projecting out from the inner peripheral surface of the elastic packing (12). The retaining ribs (22, 22) are formed to have the same lead length as that of the helix of reinforcing cores (3) and to have a multiple-thread shape of a greater number of threads than the number of reinforcing cores (3).
