Abstract:
A tube-like package body such as a sausage, where a sealing member for which a metal detector can be used after packaging and which is made from a synthetic resin with excellent recyclabity is used, and where a unit price of the sealing member is reduced. A tubular body formed by loading an objected (7) to be packaged in a tube-like film (5) made by fusion-bonding side end portions is squeezed at predetermined intervals from the outside. That region of the film from where the object (7) to be packaged is pushed away is bound by binding plates (11a, 11b) and sandwiched by two sets of synthetic resin wire member pairs (14a, 14b) (16a, 16b). Then, an ultrasonic wave is applied to both ends of each wire member pair for sealing by fusion bonding. At the same time, an ultrasonic wave is applied to the film (31) at a portion between the portion sealed by the wire members (14a, 14b) and the portion sealed by the wire members (16a, 16b), and thus the film is fused and cut.
