Abstract:
A tubular knitted fabric increased in thickness at a portion more than at the other portions in the circumferential direction without joining it by an intersia technique and a knitting method for providing the tubular knitted fabric. When either of the front portion and the rear portion of the tubular knitted fabric or a part of the tubular knitted fabric across both of the front portion and the rear portion is formed as the first knitted fabric portion of the tubular knitted fabric, to form the first knitted fabric portion thicker than the other portions of the tubular knitted fabric formed as the second knitted fabric portion thereof, the first knitted fabric portion is plating-knitted with both a first knitting yarn and a second knitting yarn, the second knitted fabric portion is continuously knitted with the second knitting yarn, and the first knitted fabric portion is tuck-knitted with the first knitting yarn.
