Abstract:
A tubular thin film evaporator has a shell (11), a feed inlet (13) and a vacuum evacuation opening (12) both located on top of the shell (11), and a discharge outlet (1) located on the bottom of the shell (11). At least one evaporating unit is located below the feed inlet (13) in array within the shell (11), each comprising a material-receiving funnel (8) and a heat exchange pipe (6) vertically arranged and inserted in a round hole on the bottom of the material-receiving funnel (8). An annular clearance (7) is formed between the material-receiving funnel (8) and periphery of the heat exchange pipe (6). The evaporator in which materials are distributed on the outside of the heat exchange pipe (6) has advantages of non-clogging, good film-forming effect, reliable use and high efficiency, and can be used in producing polymers such as PET, PEN, PBT, PTT, etc.
