Abstract:

Disclosed are a tumble dryer for clothes and a clothes drying method. The clothes dryer comprises an inner drum (3), an outer drum (2), an air heating and supplying device (4) and an air duct, and further comprises at least two air chambers (5) for blowing hot air from a side wall of the outer drum (2) to the inner drum, wherein the air chambers (5) are each in communication with the air duct, with the opening and closing thereof being controlled independently, and the air chambers (5) are respectively arranged corresponding to the two sides of the inner drum (3) which rotates to drive clothes to be lifted, so as to switch and control the air chamber (5) at one side to start supplying air and the air chamber at the other side to stop supplying air according to the rotation direction of the inner drum (3), the air chambers (5) are respectively distributed one behind the other in an axial direction corresponding to the outer drum (2), and the rotation direction of the inner drum (3) is controlled according to the distribution sequence of the air chambers (5), such that air is supplied in different positions corresponding to the front part and the rear part of the inner drum (3) at different clothes drying stages, in order to dry clothes. By controlling the rotation direction of the inner drum (3) and the cooperative opening and closing of the corresponding air chamber (5), the clothes drying effect is enhanced, so that clothes are dried relatively uniformly; in addition, by periodically supplying air at the front and rear part in the axial direction of the outer drum (2) for drying clothes, the clothes drying time is reduced as well, and the effect of uniformly drying clothes is increased; and clothes are uniformly dried when falling, have strong fluffy feeling, are not damaged, and are not easy to wrinkle.
