Abstract:
A tuning fork type vibrator comprises a basal part and leg parts extending therefrom. A groove is formed in a main surface of each leg part. An in-groove electrode is formed in the groove, while a side surface electrode is formed in a side surface of each leg part. The in-groove and side surface electrodes are connected by a basal part electrode formed in the basal part. A groove extension electrode is formed that extends from the in-groove electrode of the groove part through the longitudinal wall of the groove part, which is opposed to the basal part, to the main surface of an end side of each leg part. A beside-groove electrode is formed that extracts the groove extension electrode along the main surface of the leg part, which is beside the groove part, to the basal part electrode.
