Abstract:
A tunnel excavation apparatus (1) includes a forward fuselage (11) and a rearward fuselage (12). The forward fuselage (11) includes a cutter head (21), a cutter head support (22), and a vertical shoe (34). The rearward fuselage (12) is disposed in the rear of the forward fuselage (11), and includes a gripper portion (70) for obtaining a reaction force when performing excavation. The cutter head (21) includes a plurality of roller cutters (21a). The cutter head support (22) supports the cutter head (21). The vertical shoe (34) is disposed below the cutter head support (22), and is provided so as to be capable of turning relative to the cutter head support (22).
